The Municipality of San Fernando, Bukidnon celebrated last May 09, 2023 the Turnover & Acceptance and Ground breaking Ceremony in Brgy. Cayaga, Bonacao, and Halapitan Malantao. This significant event marked the official handover of authority for the Local Government Support Fund-Support Barangay Development Plan (LGSF-SBDP) and Financial Assistance to Local Government Unit (FALGU) infrastructure projects. The completion of these projects was commendable, and the local government received a certificate of acceptance, underscoring their commitment to maintaining and enhancing these initiatives.


The ceremony commenced in Brgy. Cayaga with a traditional custom known as “pamuhat,| which involved animal sacrifices such as chickens and pigs, as well as offerings of red wine and shekels. Distinguished attendees, including Provincial Officials, Municipality Officials, Chiefs, Datu, and members of the local tribes, witnessed this ritual. Following the “pamuhat,” esteemed officials gathered at the Brgy. Cayaga covered court for a program. They delivered inspiring messages of gratitude, expressing their appreciation to those who supported the program. Subsequently, the officials visited the project sites in Bonacao, including the Local Road Opening at Kisayab- Bayabas Farm to Market Road and the Multi-Purpose Building, where ribbon-cutting ceremonies took place.


Despite the challenges faced by the Municipality of San Fernando, Bukidnon, the government and local agencies, led by Mayor Hon. Rogelio C. Yeke, worked tirelessly to secure sufficient assistance from the national government. Their dedication enabled the progress and completion of projects that have significantly improved the daily lives of the people. Each Barangay Head received a Certificate of Acceptance, empowering them to maintain and enhance the infrastructure provided to their communities. The government and local agencies deserve recognition for their remarkable efforts. Which have had a profound impact on the community and reflect their commitment to enhancing the well-being of the people.



As the event drew to a close, the high-ranking officials expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to witness the projects initiated by the Municipality of San Fernando, Bukidnon. These projects hold the potential to stimulate the municipality’s progress, development, and provide its residents with greater opportunities and an improved living environment. It is heartening to see the government and local agencies collaborating to effect positive change and transform the lives of the people. Their unwavering dedication and hard work deserve admiration and appreciation.
